Groote Post Farm Drives
Groote Post is home to 2 000 hectares of conservation-worthy natural vegetation, including the highly threatened Swartland Granite Renosterveld, Swartland Shale Renosterveld and Atlantis Sand Fynbos.

The Groote Post renosterveld makes up 4.7% of South Africa's total area under this vegetation. Groote Post has a 2 000-hectare game camp, shared with neighbouring farmer Henry Louw, that is home to indigenous species such as kudu, black wildebeest, red hartebeest, bontebok, springbok, quaggas, eland and gemsbok.

For more than 4 people, a rate of R245 per person will apply.
Less than 4 people a fee of R980 will apply.
Maximimum of 9 people per drive
R95 for Children, Under 3 Free
Book 48 hrs in Advance.

Drives start at 09:00 AM in the morning. Duration ± 2 hours

Includes Cheese & Wine stop in the vineyards, overlooking Table Mountain

  • Follow the R27, the West Coast Road towards Langebaan. 
  • Turn right onto the Darling Hills Road opposite Grotto Bay turnoff. 
  • After 10 km turn right to the Groote Post cellar. 
  • Alternatively, take the R307 out of Darling towards Cape Town and turn off at the Darling Hills Road. 
  • After 7km turn left to the Groote Post Cellar.
